NKawie Divisional Police Commander Cautions Youth Against Drug Abuse

The Nkawie Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Joshua Semenyo, has urged the youth, especially students in the Cadet Corps, to refrain from drug abuse.

According to him, drug abuse not only destroys their health but can also lead to their disqualification from joining the security services.

Chief Superintendent Semenyo made the appeal during a joint health walk and aerobics exercise organized by the Nkawie security services to build physical fitness to combat criminal activities in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality.

The Divisional Commander also cautioned the general public to stay away from criminal activities, stressing that the police are fully prepared and ready to deal with any person who engages in crime.

Some participants who took part in the exercise expressed satisfaction with the fitness benefits the health walk and aerobics will bring, noting that a healthy security service is better equipped to combat crime. They also joined the call for the youth to desist from drug abuse

The exercise brought together personnel from the Ghana Police Service, Fire Service, Immigration Service and the Cadet Corps, who walked through the principal streets of Nkawie to promote unity and public confidence.
