Hon Shirley Kyei Supports 300 Students With Educational Materials
The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, Hon. Shirley Kyei, has renewed her commitment to promote quality education among the younger generation in the constituency.
As part of the commitment, she presented educational materials including student mattresses, boxes of chalk, trunks and exercise books to over 300 students who are transitioning from JHS to SHS One.
The member of Parliament has already awarded scholarship to 50 students at various tertiary institutions affirming her commitment towards quality education in the constituency.
Speaking to newsmen during the presentation, she said it forms part of her commitment to nurture professionals through quality education.
Evans Afrifa, a Level 400 student at the University of Cape Coast,speaking on behalf of his fellow students benefiting from the MP’s scholarship package, expressed gratitude to her and assured that they will make good use of the opportunity.
The traditional authorities in the constituency commended the MP for the first-of-its-kind educational support given to students in the constituency and urged the students to take advantage of the opportunity.
