The Gbeliginvuusi Youth Association has issued an urgent call to action to government authorities, development partners, non-governmental organisations, corporate bodies, and the public to support the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gbeliginvuusi Junior High School (JHS) in the Garu District of the Upper East Region.

Exceptional Academic Performance Amid Severe Structural Crisis
For generations, Gbeliginvuusi JHS has served as a primary academic foundation for children across the community. Today, however, the school faces a critical infrastructure emergency. Teaching and learning are routinely conducted under hazardous conditions marked by severely dilapidated classrooms, crumbling walls, eroded floors, and compromised roofing structures.

Despite these adversity-laden conditions, the institution has sustained an extraordinary record of academic performance. In the 2026/2027 Senior High School placement results, 100 per cent of graduating pupils from Gbeliginvuusi JHS secured admission into their first-choice Senior High Schools.
This 100 per cent placement rate highlights the exceptional discipline of the students and the unwavering commitment of the teaching staff—underscoring the urgent necessity to provide facilities that match their academic potential.
Direct Call to Action for District Leadership and Partners
To ensure the safety of the pupils and sustain these standards of educational achievement, the Gbeliginvuusi Youth Association is appealing for immediate capital intervention, building materials, and physical infrastructure support.
The association makes a direct appeal to key district representatives:
•Dr Thomas Anaba, Honourable Member of Parliament for Garu
•The District Chief Executive (DCE), Garu District Assembly
Our children deserve a safe, conducive, and dignified environment in which to learn. Gbeliginvuusi JHS has demonstrated what its students can accomplish even under severe physical constraints. With modern classrooms and proper facilities, their potential will be boundless.
