Two Obuasi West NPP Members File Suit Over Disqualification from Party Election

Philip Atta Boamah and Karikari Kofi Manu have filed a writ of summons at the Obuasi High Court against the Obuasi West NPP Constituency Elections Committee, Chairman, and Secretary over their disqualification from a party election.

The writ, filed on May 14, 2026, lists the two plaintiffs as residents of Kunka New Town and Estate-Obuasi respectively.

They are challenging the decision of the Obuasi West NPP Constituency Elections Committee, Chairman, and Secretary.

The court document commands the defendants to enter an appearance within eight days of service, warning that judgment may be given in their absence if they fail to do so.

The case is filed at the High Court of Justice, Obuasi/Ashanti, under suit number ASH/OB/HC/12/24/2026.

The NPP in Obuasi West has not publicly commented on the suit as of press time.
