Hon. Henry Kokofu Picks Form To Contest Ashanti Regional Chairmanship

Former Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, Hon. Henry Kwabena Kokofu and former CEO of EPA has today picked nomination forms to contest for the Ashanti Regional Chairman position of the New Patriotic Party, NPP.

The forms were picked on his behalf at the Ashanti Regional Secretariat in Amakom, Kumasi, as nominations officially opened today, *July 15 and will be closed on Friday 17,2026*.

Speaking to the media, his Campaign Coordinator, Mr. Kofi Adjei, popularly known as Awaybus, said the party needs a “forceful and experienced” leader to replace the outgoing regional chairman to help maximize votes for the NPP in the 2028 general elections.

He appealed to delegates to give Hon. Kokofu the mandate to lead the region, describing him as the right person to re-energize the party base in the Ashanti Region.
