Ashanti NPP Vetting Day 2 Turns Red In Solidarity For Chairman Wontumi

Day 2 of the Ashanti Regional NPP vetting exercise at the Hasta Hotel was dominated by a strong show of support for Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.

Aspirants, party supporters, “Mahama Wo De Meka” and sympathisers turned up at the venue wearing *red armbands* as a symbol of solidarity with the incumbent chairman ahead of the party’s regional executive elections.

The peaceful display caught attention throughout the vetting process, with many supporters expressing confidence in Chairman Wontumi’s leadership.

They said his leadership has kept the party strong in the Ashanti Region and believe he is the right man to lead the NPP to victory in 2028.

The vetting exercise ends as the party prepares for the regional elections scheduled for *15th August 2026* at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
