Sekyere Afram Plains MP Donates Math Sets to 564 BECE Candidates, Renews Education Commitment

The Member of Parliament for Sekyere Afram Plains, Hon. Hajia Nasira Gyekye Afrah, has renewed her commitment to promoting quality education for young people in the constituency.

In her first year in office, the MP awarded scholarship packages to more than 30 brilliant but needy students who performed well in the BECE. The scholarships will support them to pursue STEM programmes at various senior high schools.

In addition, all 2025 BECE candidates in the district received support including truncks, chalk boxes, mattresses and provisions to aid their transition to senior high school.

Speaking on behalf of the MP, District Chief Executive Hon. Abubakar Issaka highlighted the MP’s focus on education. He said the constituency has seen the construction of new school buildings and renovation of existing ones, leading to significant improvements in education delivery.

Hon. Issaka made the remarks when the MP donated mathematical sets to 564 BECE candidates in the district who are currently writing their 2026 examinations.
