NDC Will ‘Split Ashanti Votes’ With NPP in 2028-Aseidu Nketiah

Asante Akim South, Ashanti Region — April 21, 2026

National Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has said the NDC aims to split votes with the opposition New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking during a thank-you tour engagement with traditional leaders and party supporters in Asante Akim South, Asiedu Nketiah said the target is possible because of measures the NDC government is putting in place to respond to the needs of residents.

He cited poor road networks as one of the major challenges facing the region. He said government will do its best to address the issue, which he believes will motivate people to support the NDC to “do more for them.”

“The region will no longer remain the stronghold for the opposition NPP,” he said.

Asiedu Nketiah urged party leaders and supporters to help contribute to the success of the government.
