NPP National Treasurer’s Convoy Involved in Accident Near Buipe; Treasurer Safe

Accra — April 24, 2026

The Office of the National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Charles Dwamena has confirmed that the convoy of the National Treasurer was involved in an accident around Buipe Township on Friday.

 

The incident occurred while the National Treasurer was travelling from Tamale to Kintampo as part of a working visit.

 

According to the press release dated April 24, 2026, the National Treasurer and his team members are safe. Occupants of the other vehicle involved are also safe, except the driver who was rushed to the Central Gonja Government Hospital and is responding to treatment.

 

In light of the accident, the ongoing working visit of the National Treasurer has been suspended until further notice.

 

The Office assured party members and the general public that the National Treasurer is safe and that there is no cause for alarm.
