The Ashanti Regional Women’s Wing of the National Democratic Congress has demanded an apology from the Ejisu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Jerryne Asante, over her alleged conduct toward the party’s Regional Women’s Organizer, Madam Gloria Huzi.
Addressing journalists at the Ejisu NDC Party Office, Regina Awuni, Asokwa Constituency Women’s Organizer, spoke on behalf of the regional women’s wing.
She said the MCE has, on several occasions, sought to undermine Madam Huzi since assuming office, describing the actions as “uncalled for.”
Ms. Awuni alleged that the MCE used her office to lock up food items belonging to the Ghana School Feeding Programme Secretariat that were being stored in a government warehouse in Ejisu.
She further alleged that the MCE ordered the demolition of an ongoing building belonging to Madam Huzi without providing tangible reasons.
The women’s wing called on Hon. Asante to immediately apologize to Madam Huzi, noting that she “worked tirelessly for the party’s victory.”
