Mr Frederick Acheampong Supports BECE Candidates with 1,752 Mathematical Sets in his Constituency

The 2024 Parliament Candidates of the New Patriotic Party for Ahafo Ano South East Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Frederick Acheampong has distributed 1,752 mathematical sets to final-year Junior High School students preparing for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The initiative, which benefitted both public and private schools across the constituency.

It was annual education support programme aimed at enhancing academic performance and reducing the financial burden on parents.

Speaking to Newsman,Mr Frederick Acheampong explained that the intervention was intended to ensure that no candidate is disadvantaged during the examinations, particularly in Mathematics and Science, where the use of mathematical sets is essential.

She used the occasion to encourage students to remain focused and committed to their studies, with a special message directed at female students. She noted that the evolving socio-economic landscape demands that young women pursue education and become self-reliant, rather than depending on others for survival.

Mr. Acheampong further urged the candidates to stay determined and disciplined in pursuit of their ambitions, stressing that success is attainable through hard work and dedication. She acknowledged that while many young girls have aspirations of entering politics, fear of public criticism and personal attacks often discourages them. However, she advised them not to be deterred, but to persevere and pursue their goals with confidence.

He also cautioned students against engaging in examination malpractice, describing it as a serious offence that could jeopardize their future prospects.

The Districts director of Education for Ahafo Ano South East Mr Hamid Kramo expressed gratitude to the hon Frederick Acheampong for the timely intervention, noting that the support would boost their confidence and enhance their performance in the upcoming BECE.
