The Omanhene of the Kenyasi No.1 Traditional Council, Nana Osei Kofi Abiri, has commissioned a newly constructed educational facility valued at GH¢700,000 for Kenyasi No.1 R/C Junior High School in the Asutifi North District.
The project consists of a three-unit classroom block, a library, a headmaster’s office, a staff common room, and a store.

Speaking on behalf of the Omanhene, the Kyidomhene of Kenyasi No.1 Traditional Council, Nana Ofori Acheampong, said the old school structure had become a death trap for pupils and teachers. This, he noted, compelled the chief to personally fund the new facility.
He added that Nana Osei Kofi Abiri prioritizes education and remains committed to advancing educational development in the area.

The Asutifi North District Director of Education, Mrs. Naomi Asantewaa, thanked the Omanhene for his support. She stated that quality education requires a conducive environment and emphasized that government alone cannot bear the cost of educational development. She called on other stakeholders to emulate the chief’s example.

The Catholic Bishop of Goaso Diocese, Most Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene, also urged individuals, organizations, and communities to support educational improvement instead of leaving the responsibility solely to government.
The Ahafo Regional Head of Catholic Schools, Mr. Boakye Baafi Williams, commended the initiative and urged school authorities to maintain the facility to ensure it benefits future generations.
