
The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress in Upper Denkyira West Constituency, Mr. Peter Boamah Mensah, popularly known as _Chairman Boamah_, has pledged to do everything within his power to ensure the party wins the parliamentary seat in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking to journalists during the party’s ongoing branch elections in the constituency, Chairman Boamah described the NDC’s loss in the 2024 elections as “unfortunate.”
In the 2024 parliamentary contest, Mr. Rudolf Amoako-Gyampah of the New Patriotic Party won the seat with *16,947 votes, representing 55.01%*, while the NDC candidate, *Mr. Daniel Ohene Darko*, secured *13,858 votes, representing 44.99%*.

According to Chairman Boamah, the party will not give the NPP any room in subsequent elections in the constituency.

“We are going back to the grassroots, re-organize, and work harder. In 2028, Upper Denkyira West will go to the NDC,” he stated.

Also addressing the media, *Mr. Daniel Quaye*, Deputy Director of IT for the constituency, briefed journalists on updates from the ongoing branch elections.
