Hajia Zeinabu Salow, a three-term Ashanti Regional Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party, has picked nomination forms to contest for the Ashanti Regional 2nd Vice Chairmanship position.
The forms were picked on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Ashanti Regional Secretariat in Asokwa as the party opened nominations for regional executive elections.
Speaking after filing, Hajia Salow said her decision to contest was driven by her commitment to empower women in the party and to increase votes from Zongo communities ahead of the 2028 general elections.
She stressed that the contributions of women and Zongo communities must be given more recognition in the party’s decision-making process.
“My relationship with the Zongo communities is one of the best assets we can use to bring more people to join the NPP. 2028 will need a strategic approach to win power, and we cannot leave any group behind,” she stated.
Nominations for regional executive positions will close on *July 17, 2026*, with elections slated for *August 15 – 16, 2026*.
