The newly elected Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has charged media practitioners to use their offices to put pressure on the government for development.

According to him, the media has a critical role to play in holding government accountable and ensuring that abandoned projects in the region are completed.

He made the call during his maiden media soiree in Kumasi after winning the regional elections.

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah urged journalists in the Ashanti Region to prioritize development-focused journalism and advocate for projects that will improve the lives of the people.
