NDC activists Nana Barimah and Nana Takyi have commended Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson for what they describe as a renewed focus on fiscal discipline, value for money, and prudent economic management.
The two said Ghanaians are seeing a Finance Ministry more focused on protecting the public purse and ensuring spending reflects national priorities. They noted that at a time when excessive spending was expected, the ministry has instead shown effort toward efficiency and accountability.
Barimah and Takyi argued that the approach reflects leadership that prioritizes national interest over extravagance, and said such discipline is important for rebuilding confidence in the economy.
They added that effective public finance management should be measured by transparency, accountability, and the real impact of government spending on citizens. The pair expressed optimism that sustaining the current trajectory could strengthen macroeconomic stability and public trust in governance institutions.
They urged continued commitment to fiscal discipline, saying it is key to long-term economic stability and sustainable development.
