Nana Akuoko Sarpong’s Contribution to Kingdom of God Ministry Immeasurable – Religious Leaders  

Religious leaders at Agogo have described the contributions of the late Nana Akuoko Sarpong, Paramount Chief of the Agogo Traditional Council, towards the Kingdom of God ministry as immeasurable.

Speaking at the ongoing 40-day observance for the late Omanhene, Pastor E.A. Amoah, Head Pastor of the Apostolic Church Ghana, Agogo Central, said Nana Akuoko Sarpong was a pillar of peace and a promoter of God’s ministry.

“Nana Akuoko Sarpong was a pillar of peace and a promoter of God’s ministry. His support is uncountable,” Pastor Amoah stated.

Some church members who also shared their views said the late chief’s contributions in the areas of education, health, and peace helped strengthen churches and improve living conditions in the Agogo Traditional Area.

*Dignitaries Present*

The 40-day observance was graced by the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. She was flanked by former Finance Minister Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, Elder Ofosu Ampofo, former National Chairman of the NDC, and Hon. Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister.

Other government officials present included Mr. Augustus Nana Akwasi, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Isham Alhassan Bonsu, NDC Regional Organizer, and several Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives.

From the opposition side, dignitaries included Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Flagbearer of the NPP, Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi, Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, former MP for Suame and former Majority Leader, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, former Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, former MP for Asante Akyem North, Lawyer Andy Appiah-Kubi, former MP for Asante Akyem North, and Mr. Alan Kyerematen.

*Traditional Leaders*

Paramount Chiefs from the Aduana Clan were also in attendance. They included the Chiefs of Essumeja, Kumawu, Kwamang, Wenchi, and Assin Kushea.

Churches within the Agogo Traditional Area turned out in their numbers for the solemn event, which continues at Agogo.
