Wontumi’s Counsel Andy Appiah-Kubi Withdraws From Samreboi Case, Cites Judge’s Conduct

Lawyer Andy Appiah-Kubi Esq. has withdrawn as counsel for Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako alias Chairman Wontumi, in the ongoing Samreboi case.

In a statement on Tuesday, Appiah-Kubi said he had informed his client and the court of his decision to exit the case.

“My reasons will be made known in court, but I believe there are too many unseen influences surrounding the case, and I find the judge’s conduct throughout the proceedings unacceptable,” he stated.

The lawyer did not provide further details in his public statement, saying the full grounds for withdrawal would be presented in court.

Chairman Wontumi is yet to announce new legal representation for the Samreboi matter.
