Members of the Ghana National Association of Small Scale Miners in Amansie West District have declared their commitment to partner with the Amansie West District Assembly to promote development, especially in the area of improved road networks.

The miners said they are ready and ever prepared to respond to any call from the District Chief Executive aimed at driving development in the district.

They made this known during their second partnership exercise to reshape roads and desilt choked gutters that have been causing flooding in some communities in the district.

Mr. Okrah Kwame Thomas, District Coordinating Director, commended the association for the initiative.
He also declared the Assembly’s readiness to welcome support from institutions and individuals to bring total development to the people.

Some residents who benefited from the exercise expressed gratitude, saying they believe the project will help resolve the persistent flooding in their communities.
