CURBING DRUG ABUSE: PARENTS MUST TAKE LEAD ROLES IN ADVOCACY

Ghanaian parents are charged to lead the Advocacy in combating the spree of drug addiction among youth in Ghana.

At the Convention organised by Divine Healers Church at the Jackson Park, Koforidua in the Eastern, the Chief executive officer for Willingway Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre, Mrs. Lydia Abena Manu Adofo called on parents to focus on their parental roles in helping the country to win the fight of drug abuse and addiction.

Speaking with Oyerepa FM’s George Botha, Mrs. Manu Adofo bemoaned how some parents have put blind sights on their wards, influencing their Waywardness.

Mrs. Lydia Abena Manu Adofo in the addition highlighted the commitment of her centre to make sure the Ghana remains articulated to the war against drug addiction but the exclusion of the parents have deepened the woes, hence the need to engage parents.

A lady who has survived addiction at the Willingway Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre also shared her addiction journey and her breakthrough.
