AMANSIE RURAL BANK LADIES ASSOCIATION HOLDS SECOND FOOD FESTIVAL IN KUMASI

Kumasi – The Amansie Rural Bank Ladies Association PLC, a women’s group within Amansie Rural Bank, has held the second edition of the Amansie Food Festival in Kumasi.

The festival created a platform for female staff from all branches of the bank to showcase Ghanaian local dishes including fufu, tuozaafi, abeteɛ, and banku. It aims to promote indigenous Ghanaian foods.

Board members and the Chief Executive Officer of the bank attended the event.

Nana Mansah Afrah I, Benkumhemaa of the Wassa Piase Sub-Traditional Council in the Western Region and Chairperson of the Ashanti Regional Rural Banks Ladies Association, urged women in various institutions to join women’s advocacy groups to better channel their grievances.

She noted that membership in such groups helps address workplace challenges many women face and advances gender equality.

Mrs. Anna Adu Gyamfi, Chairperson of the Amansie Ladies Association, said the festival seeks to connect traditional Ghanaian food values with modern trends to promote nutritional balance.
