Anwiankwanta — April 18, 2026

Drivers and passengers who use the Anwiankwanta-Kokobeng highway are complaining bitterly about difficulties accessing the road due to an abandoned blockade on the stretch.

The blockade is linked to rehabilitation works started during the NPP government in 2024.

The project has since stalled, leaving materials and barriers on the road.

Reports indicate that hundreds of vehicles were left stranded in hours on the road this morning as a result of the obstruction.

An eyewitness and victim of the situation, Mike, gave details account to the situation.
