Police Investigate Death of Agric Extension Officer at Boakye-Krom;Suspect At Large

Police in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District are investigating the death of a 28-year-old agricultural extension officer at Boakye-Krom.

 

The incident reportedly occurred on Monday, April 20, 2026, at about 4:00 p.m. in the farming community located along the highway.

 

Nana Kwasi Owusu I, the Odikro of Boakye-Krom, told _Gadeka Multimedia_ that the deceased, identified only as David, was an agric extension officer who managed several commercial farms in the Afram Plains for farm owners.

 

According to Nana Kwasi Owusu, David had requested an assistant and was assigned Moses about two weeks before the incident.

 

The Odikro alleged that Moses stole a phone, which David retrieved and returned to its owner. He claimed that Moses then attacked David, resulting in his death, before fleeing the community.

 

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary by police. Police say a search is underway for Moses, who is currently at large and considered a suspect.

 

The deceased, aged 28, reportedly resided at Nkwanta.
