Pastor Beats And Throws Woman Out of Church For Watching TikTok

According to a report, on Sunday, May 3, 2026, a video that is currently making waves on social media has got many Ghanaians talking after a powerful man of God in Kumasi was caught on camera hitting a female church member and ordering her out of his church simply because she was on TikTok while he was preaching.

The pastor behind this shocking act is Apostle Daniel Atta Gyebi, who leads a church called House of Jacob Chapel located in Kumasi. What happened inside that church on that day was captured on video and the footage has now spread like wildfire across all social media platforms in Ghana and beyond.

From the video, the apostle spotted the woman on her phone while he was in the middle of his preaching. He stopped and walked straight to where she was sitting. He demanded to know what she was doing on the phone.

The moment he looked at the screen and realised she was scrolling through TikTok, his anger could not be controlled.

He hit her right there in front of the entire congregation. He then gave a firm order for her to pack her things and leave the church auditorium at once. His junior pastors were instructed to hand her bag over to her so she could be removed without delay.

Before returning to the pulpit, the apostle turned to the rest of the congregation and gave them a serious warning never to bring their phones out during service.
