Great Osama marks 50th Birthday with Mass Celebration in Amansie South

Thousands of people, including family, friends,Kumawood actors and actresses,hotel workers, and members of the Small-Scale Miners Association of Amansie South, gathered on Sunday to celebrate the 50th birthday of Mr Kwaku Abonee, popularly known as “Great Osama.”

Mr. Abonee, who serves as Chairman of the Small-Scale Miners Association for Amansie South and Chief Executive Director of New York City Hotel in Manso Akwasiso, was honoured for his contributions to education,health, sports, women’s empowerment, and job creation in the district.

Attendees described him as a leader whose support has created opportunities for youth and women in the area. In the entertainment sector, he has hosted high-profile Ghanaian musicians including Sarkodie and Shatta Wale and others to perform for communities in the Amansie enclave.

Speakers at the event commended his role in bridging business, community development, and culture, saying his efforts have had a visible impact on livelihoods in Amansie South.
