20 Injured, 3 Dead in Crash on Kumasi-Accra Highwa

Three people have died and 20 others were injured after a collision between a Mitsubishi Outlander and a Benz Sprinter on the Kumasi-Accra Highway near Odumasi-Ohene Nkwanta.

The accident occurred near Rider Iron and Steel Company and involved a Mitsubishi Outlander with registration DV G8180, driven by Richmond Kuman, and a Benz Sprinter with registration GE6024-22, driven by an unidentified person.

Emergency crews retrieved three male victims from the scene and handed them over to the MTTD Konongo. The 20 injured were transported to Hope Care Hospital, Asante Akim Central Municipal Hospital, and RIS Hospital by ambulance GV589-20 and other vehicles.

Police say investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
