Machete Fight in Bonkame Leaves Several Injured, Residents Alarmed

Several people were injured after a violent machete fight broke out in Bonkame on Sunday, leaving residents fearful for their safety.

The clash occurred on May 10, 2026, according to Oyerepa TV/FM correspondent George Botha. Injured victims were rushed to Hawa Memorial Saviour Hospital in Akyem Osiem for treatment.

Police in the Fanteakwa South District have launched an investigation into the incident. The cause of the fight and the number of people involved have not yet been confirmed by authorities.

Residents described the attack as sudden and said it has heightened concerns about violence and security in the community. Interviews with some residents are expected to follow as police continue their probe.
