Asokyiano Leaders Threaten to Close Cemetery Over Full Capacity

Community leaders in Asokyiano, Cape Coast Metropolis, say they will close the local cemetery if authorities do not address the issue of full capacity.

The leaders said the facility has reached its limit and continued burials are no longer feasible without expansion or alternative arrangements.

They warned that the situation could create sanitation and public health concerns for residents.

They are calling on the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly to intervene quickly by either expanding the existing site or designating a new burial ground for the community.
