Tako Gold CEO Partners Sumsum Ahuofe Foundation to Free 10 Inmates, Donate GH¢10,000 and 200 Meals to Kumasi Prison.

A philanthropist and businessman, Kojo Agyei Mohammed, popularly known as King Kojo, in collaboration with the Sumsum Ahuofe Foundation, has donated GH¢10,000 to the Kumasi Central Prison to support the release of 10 inmates.

The initiative forms part of efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable people in society and offering hope to prisoners. Through the support of the organizers, 10 inmates regained their freedom, with each of them receiving GH¢500 to assist with transportation back to their respective homes after release. In addition, more than 200 meals were served to inmates during the event as a gesture of compassion and solidarity.

A brief but colorful ceremony was organized at the prison premises to entertain and encourage the inmates. Activities held during the programme included dancing competitions, rap performances, sports presentations and several other recreational activities aimed at boosting the morale of prisoners and creating moments of joy within the correctional facility.

The event attracted the support of several celebrities and personalities from the entertainment and social media industries. Among those who graced the occasion were Nana Yeboah, Killer Ntua, Pillato and Oboy CJ, together with other Kumawood actors and content creators who joined the programme to support the inmates.

Speaking to the media on behalf of Mr. Kojo Agyei Mohammed, Nana Adu Danso said the donation to the Kumasi Central Prison forms part of a broader humanitarian outreach initiative designed to support the less privileged, restore hope to inmates and provide assistance to people facing difficult conditions in society.

According to him, the gesture would not be the last intervention by the group, stressing that there are plans to extend similar support to other prison facilities across the country in the near future.

In an interview, Yaw Adu (a.k.a Sumsum Aguofe) expressed appreciation to all individuals and organizations who contributed to the success of the programme. He gave special recognition to Mr. Kojo Agyei Mohammed for his unwavering support and commitment to humanitarian activities aimed at helping the less privileged.

Mr. Adu further appealed to philanthropists, business owners and corporate organizations to support inmates in prisons across the country, noting that many prisoners continue to live under difficult conditions and often feel neglected by both society and their families.

He emphasized that showing love and support to inmates can help restore hope, encourage reform and make them feel valued despite their circumstances.
