The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has questioned the source of income of Prophet Emmanuel Akwasi Boakye, founder of the Holiness of Christ Zion Ministry, even after earlier tax assessment and payment.
According to Prophet Ogyaba, the request came after he had already been assessed, paid his taxes, and received official confirmation from the tax authorities.
“You wrote a letter and worked on the taxes I was supposed to pay to the GRA. I have paid, and you gave me a receipt and certificate,” he said.
He said he was later surprised that the GRA followed up with another letter asking him to declare where his income comes from.
“After that, you have written to me to declare my source of income,” he said.
He questioned the need for that request, insisting the earlier tax process should have already established that information.
“If you did not know my source of income, how did you calculate my tax?” he asked.
Prophet Ogyaba added that he remains a law-abiding citizen and will continue to comply with tax requirements despite his concerns.
