DONATION AND HANDING-OVER OF PHOTOTHERAPY MACHINE BY AFRICAN HEALTH SUPPLY, ONUA FOUNDATION AND PEDIATRICS SOCIETY OF GHANA.

The Donkorkrom Presbyterian Hospital which serves as referral of a lot of clinics and CHIPS compounds in the Afram Plains was blessed to have received a phototherapy machine from African Health supply which is located at Accra Nungua today 26th May,2026.

The phototherapy machine is a device that is used to cure a sickness called jouidice in newly born children. It is almost a light that can be related to sunlight.

Speaking with the matron Mrs Suzzina Akuamoah, she said they only have two(2) of the phototherapy machines which are different brands and so if one is added,they will have three(3).

She also seized the opportunity to thank African Health supply, Onua Foundation and Pediatric society of Ghana for their donation and also ask for more when the needs arise.

During the donation and handling over ceremony, there was technical assembly training organized by the representative of African Health supply who is the technician to the staffs of Donkorkrom Hospital.

The nurse in charge of the unit Mrs Rolander Kaketo also thank those who made it possible and highlighted on how the device is going to be useful to them in solving a lot of jouidice issues in newly born babies.

The General manager of the hospital also gave thanks to the institutions that made donation to them and also asked for more if there is any. He added that they will use this device to solve its intended purposes regarding health.

Present to receive the device are the Matron – Mrs Suzzina Akuamoah, the nurse in-charge of the unit Mrs Rolander Kaketo, the store keeper and the General manager.
