Flooding Cuts Off Fumsua Community As Traders, Farmers Stranded On Way To Sempoa Market

Flooding has cut off traders and farmers in the Fumsua electoral area in the Sekyere Afram Plains district,Ashanti region who were heading to Sempoa Market to trade.

The heavy rains submerged roads and bridges, halting all vehicular movement. With vehicles unable to cross, some traders had their goods carried on their backs by strong men in the community just to reach the market.

Residents say the situation is recurring and is crippling their livelihoods, as Sempoa Market serves as the main commercial hub for surrounding farming communities.

They are now appealing to government and the Municipal Assembly for urgent intervention to fix the access routes.

The Assembly Member for the area, Hon. Dramani Mustakilu, who witnessed the situation is calling on authorities to their aid the situation is getting worsening.
