Dr Amagashie forgives staff accused of theft as court approves out-of-court settlement

The Ofankor Circuit Court has referred a theft case involving the Chief Executive Officer of Amagashie Herbal Clinic, Apostle Dr. Samuel Amagashie, and three of his employees for an amicable out-of-court settlement after the complainant informed the court that he had forgiven the accused persons.

The three accused — Agyeman Duah, a Physician Assistant, Sarah Dede, a Nurse, and Enoch Sakyi — are alleged to have stolen a substantial sum of money belonging to the clinic.

The case, presided over by Her Ladyship Nana Asantewaa Atakorah, was initially heard on June 12, 2026, when the court granted bail to the accused persons and adjourned proceedings to July 13, 2026.

At the resumed hearing Apostle Dr. Amagashie, through his legal application, sought the court’s permission to discontinue the prosecution and resolve the matter through an out-of-court settlement.

Addressing the court, he stated that he had decided to forgive the three accused after they admitted their wrongdoing and expressed remorse for their actions.

Apostle Dr.Samuel Amagashie further used the occasion to advise young people to uphold honesty and integrity in their workplaces, stressing that acts of dishonesty undermine the confidence employers place in their employees and discourage job creation.

Speaking after the proceedings, Nana Osei Bonsu,Atomfuohene Kyeame of the Asante Mampong Traditional Council, who played a mediation role between Apostle Dr. Amagashie and the accused persons, commended the CEO for demonstrating forgiveness and choosing reconciliation over prolonged litigation.

Nana Osei Bonsu also appealed to Ghanaian youth to desist from acts of theft and dishonesty, noting that trust remains one of the most valuable qualities in every workplace.
