Asanko Gold Ghana Trains Hundreds Of Okada Riders In Amansie South Under “Ride Safe Campaign”

Asanko Gold Ghana Limited has organized a road safety training program for hundreds of commercial motorbike riders in several communities across the Amansie South District as part of efforts to promote responsible riding and reduce road accidents.

The *”Ride Safe Campaign”* was held in collaboration with the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service, traditional authorities, and other key stakeholders.

Beneficiary communities included Manso Nkran, Koniase, Adubia, Kumpese, Akwasiso, Dadease, Kwankyeabo, Nyarkomase, Takorase and Datano, among other adjoining areas within the district.

Speaking at the training, General Manager of Asanko Gold, Mr. Justice Fenteng, urged the participating riders to put the lessons from the workshop into practice to help prevent road crashes.

Mr. Benjamin Marfo, DCE for Amansie South District, also commended Asanko Gold Ghana Limited for the initiative. He described it as timely and important, and advised okada riders to strictly adhere to road safety rules and regulations.

The campaign forms part of Asanko Gold’s corporate social responsibility efforts to improve safety and livelihoods in its host communities.
