The Assembly Member for the Wassa Saamang Electoral Area, Hon. Isaac Boafo, has identified poor telecommunications network coverage as the biggest challenge confronting residents, calling on the relevant authorities and telecommunications providers to take urgent steps to improve connectivity.

According to Hon. Boafo, the unreliable network service continues to affect communication, business activities, education, healthcare delivery, and emergency response, making it difficult for residents to stay connected and access essential digital services.
He also appealed for the rehabilitation of the area’s poor road network, noting that improved roads would enhance transportation, boost economic activities, and make it easier for residents to access schools, markets, and healthcare facilities.
The Assembly Member further called for the construction and equipping of a modern health clinic to improve access to quality healthcare, as well as the provision of teachers’ quarters to attract and retain qualified teachers in the community.
Hon. Boafo also urged the government to expand the School Feeding Programme to benefit more pupils, describing it as an important initiative that supports school enrolment, attendance, and children’s well-being.
He appealed for additional development projects, including improved water supply, electricity expansion, educational infrastructure, youth empowerment programmes, and agricultural support, to accelerate the socio-economic development of the Wassa Saamang Electoral Area.
Hon. Isaac Boafo reaffirmed his commitment to working with all stakeholders to address the developmental challenges facing the community and improve the quality of life for residents.
