Our Farm Produce Is Rotting”— Abosanso Residents Cry Over Poor Roads

Chief and residents of Abosanso in the Bosome Freho District are appealing to government for urgent intervention over the deplorable road network linking their community to Bogyesango, Nsuaem, and Konongo.

The residents say the poor state of the road is preventing them from transporting their farm produce to market centers, leading to huge losses.

Residents say they are ready to support government with communal labor, but need machinery and materials to make the road motorable.

They also lamented over the poor condition of classroom blocks and erratic electricity supply in the area.

Speaking to newsmen during a communal labor to rehabilitate parts of the road, Nana Sarfo Agyemang Kokroko II, Chief of Abosanso, said farmers are finding it extremely difficult to cart their foodstuffs to market.

“Our people farm but they cannot sell. The road is so bad that vehicles refuse to come here,”_ he said.

Nana Kokroko II is therefore calling on government to extend the *”Big Push” agenda* to Abosanso to help fix the road and other pressing infrastructure needs.
