Madam Alice Serwaa Bonsu, Environmental Health Officer for Amansie West District, is calling on government to recruit more staff to support environmental health administration in the various District Assemblies to enable them to discharge their duties and help promote a clean environment.

Citing her district as an example, she said the whole Amansie West District has only nine staff while the district has seven area councils, making it difficult for them to do monitoring in various communities.

Madam Alice Serwaa Bonsu was speaking to newsmen when she joined traditional leaders of Esaase-Bontefufuo to clean the community as part of the monthly clean-up exercise introduced by government.

While making effort to promote clean environment,She however urged residents to ensure their environment is clean to promote good health.
