The family of Madam Akua Atoa of the Agona family at Hwediem, in the Asante Akyem North Municipality of the Ashanti Region, is calling on the general public to disregard any claims by any individual claiming ownership of the house of the late Mr. Kingsley Agyemang,PLOT 71AA,BLK AKOSA 1 St, AK 067-5457 at Amakom-Bolaho in Kumasi.

On the morning of Sunday, September 14,2026, a group of Machomen allegedly attacked tenants and destroyed their properties in the said with aim of claiming ownership of the house.

Yaa Asor, spokesperson for the Akua Atoa family, said their late father, Mr. Kingsley, before his demise, gave a portion of his own house to them and their mother, Madam Akua Atoa, through his will.

She said after the death of their late father, some members of his family later sent the case to the Kumasi High Court on two occasions, where the court presided over by Her Ladyship Hannah Taylor ruled in their favour as owners of the house. She used the media engagement to showcase the verdict from the court rulings.

Madam Akua Atoa, who is 103 years old, confirmed that the portion of the house was given to her by her husband, which his family agreed to, and the court has confirmed that.
