
The chiefs of Samreboi and its surrounding communities in the Western Region have issued a one-month ultimatum to government and relevant authorities to address what they describe as decades of neglect in infrastructure and basic social services.
At a press conference on Friday, community leaders and residents expressed frustration over the poor state of roads, unreliable electricity supply, weak telecommunications network and inadequate educational infrastructure in the area.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the spokesperson stressed that the concerns were being raised without political affiliations, emphasizing that residents are united in their quest for development.
According Nana Kwajo Asante chief of woman no good, Samreboi and its environs have contributed significantly to Ghana’s cocoa sector, helping the district maintain its reputation as one of the country’s leading cocoa-producing areas over the years.
He argued that the poor road conditions have led to reduced productivity, increased transportation costs and numerous health challenges for residents.
According to the chief of Tigarikurom, Nana Owusu Amppem they are very disappointed with the work of the mp of their constituency Hon Eric Afful, he said Eric Afful have been the mp for over 12 years but there is nothing to show only bad roads in Samreboi and they can see he has nothing good to offer.
Nana Baffoe Aworabo chief cried out loud and said they have to even carry dead bodies on motorcycles before they can reach to the towns to do their funeral, he is also disappointed with the mp Eric Afful.

Most of the chiefs appealed to government to urgently intervene and address the challenges, warning that continued delays could deepen hardship and hinder development.
They subsequently gave authorities a one-month deadline to begin addressing the issues, stating that they would consider further actions if no meaningful response is received.
Despite their frustrations, the group assured residents of Samreboi and surrounding communities that they would continue to advocate for improved living conditions, development and the overall well-being of the people.
